Robert Kieserling GmbH has been manufacturing floor systems since the original company was formed in 1885. In 1898 there came a milestone in the history of the company, when the magistrate of the city of Frankfurt commissioned it to equip the municipal abattoir with an up-to-the-minute floor that would satisfy the requirements for hygiene and durability. This was so to speak the moment of birth for the modern industrial floor for the meat industry, today successful and well-known worldwide as KIESERLING® SPEZIAL.

In the course of the decades, dozens of patents have been recognised both nationally and internationally. Concrete road surfaces, floor coverings suitable for particular requirements, cut and coated industrial floors have formed the basis for Kieserling's good reputation and secured for the company a permanent place in the history of concrete.
